Classroom Stats is the data collection application designed to complement the Classroom Stats framework. It enables students in statistics classes to engage with interactive mini-games, offering a departure from conventional data input methods. This version features seven immersive mini-games, including Arithmetic Quiz, Mastermind, Numeric Response, Set, Multiple Numeric Response, Multiple Choice, and Mixed Question Types.
Instructors can utilize Classroom Stats to obtain detailed insights such as the number of correct responses, identification of correctly answered questions (particularly useful for analyzing question complexity), and response times. While Numeric Question may still be used for basic data collection like "favorite number," Arithmetic Quiz streamlines the process for more dynamic data capture.
It's worth noting that this application is streamlined to focus on facilitating gaming experiences. Customization of game specifics and room configurations are managed through the Classroom Stats website, allowing instructors to tailor each game according to their requirements. Data analysis and export processes are also conducted via the website, ensuring the privacy of users by removing any potentially identifiable information from the dataset prior to download or display.
